Accessibility statement
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Our commitment
mDOS is run by Mr Digital Ltd. We want the mDOS dashboard, staff apps and the websites and booking pages it publishes to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard only, a screen reader, magnification or voice control.
The standard we work to is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Conformance status
Partially conformant. Some parts of mDOS do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The known gaps are listed below. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so this statement is our own assessment.
How we test
- Automated checks every night. An automated tool (axe-core) checks a set of 12 core dashboard pages against the WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 Level A and AA rules. The results are reviewed by our team; they do not yet stop a release.
- Code checks on every change. A code rule flags one known low-contrast text pattern while the change is being written.
- Dialogs. Pop-up windows close with Esc, keep keyboard focus inside them while open, and return focus to the button that opened them.
- Keyboard. The dashboard has a “Skip to main content” link, keyboard shortcuts and a command palette.
- Touch targets. Our design rules require a 44-point minimum touch target in the mDOS mobile apps.
What we have not tested yet
- The automated checks do not yet cover the criteria that are new in WCAG 2.2, such as focus not being hidden behind other content, alternatives to dragging, and minimum target size on the web dashboard. These are checked by hand, not automatically.
- Only 12 dashboard pages are checked automatically; the rest of the dashboard is checked by hand when it changes.
- We do not yet test regularly with screen readers (for example NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver).
- Exported PDF and spreadsheet reports have not been tested with assistive technology.
Known exceptions
- Colour contrast. Some older screens use grey text that is lighter than the 4.5:1 contrast ratio WCAG asks for (criterion 1.4.3). We are replacing these screen by screen.
- Dragging. Some layout tools — arranging a floor plan, dashboard widgets or room moves on the planner — have not yet been checked for a way to do the same thing without dragging (criterion 2.5.7).
- Charts. Not every chart in the reports has a table or text version of the same figures yet (criterion 1.1.1).
- Warnings from the automated checks. The nightly checks still report some issues on the pages they cover; each is logged and fixed in turn.
Content you publish
Websites, menus, emails and booking pages built with mDOS include accessible building blocks, but their accessibility also depends on what each business adds — for example image descriptions (alt text), link wording and the colours chosen for their brand. mDOS cannot guarantee the accessibility of content its customers publish.
Feedback and contact
If something in mDOS is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email office@mr-digital.co.uk with “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us the page and what went wrong. We aim to reply within five working days.
If you are not happy with our response and you are in the UK, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
How this statement is kept up to date
This statement was prepared on 10 October 2026. We review it at least every 12 months, and whenever we change how we test or fix one of the known exceptions above.
